Just some pics I took on Saturday whilst wandering around Pyrmont. I hope you enjoy. There is a picture of my girlfriend and myself. Just a human touch. Please let me know if you think the pictures are OK.

nice pics of the city from that area of town, considering the majority sharing your view are taken much closer to darling harbour and the city.

i like how you start off with the current redevelopment of Pyrmont, the barbed wire and the fence, the grassed areas the older buildings into Darling Harbour. The last two weeks have been great for photography, too bad I wasn't able to go down there.

Nice to see we have another Sydney photographer on board.

Besides the water police/park debacle, there seems to be still quite a bit of room for developments down there.

Clear shots, nice cross-section and interesting land 'n streetscapes....all there.

Any new pics of the Ian Thorpe Swimming Pool? Some of the wavy ceiling structure has been put into place.

I must admit I wasn't getting my hopes up when the first four photos were of Star City through a fence but as I scrolled down there were some really good shots. Thanks jeepstar. My favourite is the Endeavour (I presume?) with the skyline in the background. And I'll never get tired of seeing the Sydney skyline from Pyrmont Bridge - what a view!

I'm really just trying to get a different flavour into the bog standard photo's that people take from around Pyrmont using different types of photography and to learn from my mistakes and errors.

Thanks for the compliment though!

Thanks mate! Positive comments are always welcome (and negative), I was trying to get a different type of view from Pyrmont of the cityscape and architecture, as well as getting some infrastructure shots.

Sort of a something for everyone? Notice I was attempting to get some distance (but not really distance) shots of World Tower, which I love, in perspective shots.

Cheers mate!

Thanks for the compliments mate! I was doing a bit of a walking tour of Pyrmont to see what had been happening down there. And using some different camera styles and settings to get different angles and perspective shots of the city skyline. I love the skyline from Betty Bay and taking pics, but Pyrmont is still kind of industrial (clean) and takes great afternoon shots.

I hope to take some good shots on the weekend of the city from DH as the sun sets. Nothing makes me smile than seeing the western view with the sun shining on it but DH kind of dark.

More to come.

Cheers buddy,

good work jeepstar! quite a lot has changed in the 12 months since you took these, you'd be surprised just how much. i noticed you were inside the point hotel, my local. i like how they've kept the front bar the way it used to be for the locals but have done the rest of it up quite nicely. the site across the road is now city west apartments uc.

you obviously snuck into the old nrma site (next to water police site). that's been gone for ages and will be part of the park that nevers starts.

those shots of star city through the fence. i wish they'd do something with that spot, it's still a wasted carpark. some of the nimbys are trying to get clover to buy it and turn it into another park so that it joins up with the old church. there's another carpark in the area that they are pushing for the same thing.
