Glad to hear that a Tribakery will be opening in the precinct soon. Century City could do with more mixed-use development in between its housing projects:
Quaynorth sold out before construction is completed
Published: January 14, 2014
Construction of Quaynorth is now nearing completion at Century City.
The niche development of 28 mostly water fronting apartments was sold out six months ago.
Brian Usher of Property World, the official on-site agency at Century City, says the entire block will be transferred to buyers in February.
It follows that of Quayside where all 63 apartments and townhouses were also sold out well ahead of completion towards the end of last year, with transfers taking place from October.
Both Quaynorth and Quayside, which are on separate erven, form part of The Quays development which also includes 3 500 m² of low rise studio offices set around courtyards and a piazza, which is due for completion in April.
At the time of going to press all but one of the offices remained to be sold. The offices in two and three storey buildings range in size from 40 m² to 250 m².
The buildings have been designed as individual facades rather than a monolithic office block and the varying architecture gives the appearance of a village street edge that has evolved over time.
A Tribakery restaurant will be opening in The Quays in April, serving not only the residential and commercial components but also neighbouring residential and commercial developments.
