台湾的数字错了 应该是619,590 而不是719,590 平均是26000多 正常的数字.

四小龙的人均排名一直都是香港,新加坡,台湾和韩国.

HongKong is a city....Japan is a whole country. I seriously believe the GDP/Capita of Tokyo is much higher than Hongkong.

This is PPP data. Japan's GDP (nominal) per captia is higher than Hong Kong.

可能考虑了人民币升值,人民币升值将会导致香港物价上涨。
PPP与汇率无直接关联。

I agree, as hkskyline mentioned before all the Japanese Sogo department stores went bankrupt across the world except for the ones in HK.

it is not for 2004 but for 2005 as well. Vietnam, my countries is so low in PPP GDP but it doesnt reflect the truth. Vietnam has at least double than wat ve been estimated. Al most Vietnamese people own cell phone and motobike cost abt 2000 usd(abt 10000 in PPP). Where is the money come from??The government cannot control the private business in vietnam so that it is impossible to issue the right figure! and by the year 2007, the estimated PPP GDP of Vietnam will be at least 4.000 USD not 3003 only!

of course not. those motorbikes(majority are made in China) are cheap and each individual household own at leat one. Unlike China, Vietnamese cities are likely to look the same 20 and even 50 years when you come back to it after your 1st visit. It terribily lacks development. If you wonder why: Here are the two reasons:
1) wealth distribution
-government officials suck up all the money and spend it for their own pleasures, and they woudnt care if the homeless beggars are dying on the street.
2) Foreign immigration (just my opinion because i'm one of those Vietnamese who count off days to leave our country. :runaway: .u know why)

You're probably one of those who had experienced or is experiencing culture shock. I rather you look through this website than reading my explanation. BTW i'm not hoping to go back there any time soon, or until they get rid of the bird flu pandamic :eek2:
