Went on a flight this afternoon from Redcliffe to Caloundra and back, a friend of mine is an aero club member and a pilot.
You can hire out planes from the club, it's not really that expensive either.
I think I'd like to try and get a licence myself soon (need to save up), it really was a lot of fun.

We were in a Cessna 172, a new one as well so it was quite nifty.

You get such good building views with a bit of height, I'd love to do a flight over Brisbane, but the airspace makes it tougher to do.

Caloundra in particular suprised me with how built up it has become, this was the first time I had been there for 5 years, and there are quite a few talls.
There used to be just the one, at the top of the hill near the lighthouse.

Awesome shots Aussie bhoy!

Yeah, caloundra has grown heaps and is progressing quite fast i have found. Pritty much all those buildings within the curved back on the right of the below picture are 4 storeys+, and there everywhere.

Its a shame why you didnt go further up the coast to see the rest? Still good none the less :)
