Region of Waterloo Rapid Transit Website

The new website for the Region's environmental assessment of the rapid transit initiative is now up - complete with fancy graphics! :)

Edit: There's even a semi-flattering skyline shot of downtown Kitchener. Incredible!

Feedback on the LRT seems to be improving with time.

Regarding the name change, I was only expressing my own feeling.

At the same time, I think Waterloo does have the cache that Kitchener and Cambridge don't. First of all, the Region is already named Waterloo, and secondly, it is the technology centre and location of the universities.

For me, Waterloo conjures up nice images of Beechwood-Westvale, Conestoga Mall/ New Colonial Acres area, the universities and their surrouding areas, and Uptown Waterloo. Kitchener and Cambridge conjure up far worse images... just my opinion.

BTW, I created a thread like this in the Subway and Urban Transport section of SSC.
