If HS2 makes it all of the way to Glasgow I wonder if it is possible to build a new underground city centre station between Central and Queen street (on an east-west axis) which links together those two terminals and the two underground lines into one complex?

The Glasgow Connectivity Commission are looking for something along these lines so it may well happen if its feasible!

Connecting Central and Queen Street
In addition to the metro, the report advocates a cross-city heavy rail tunnel connecting the city’s two main stations, Queen Street and Central. The most straightforward option would be for a tunnel running from the Ayrshire and Inverclyde lines in the vicinity of Shields Junction via a single underground station in the city centre located in between Central and Queen Street.

Would like to see the reinstatement of the Witney to Oxford line.
The traffic on the A40 is horrendous at peak times
