Hi,

I would like to live in Taiwan, specifically Taipei or its surrounding cities.
I am looking to buy a 1BR apartment there.

For a start, I do not understand her properties markets, as most sites are in Chinese.
Are there English sites showing the new developements ?
Or sites showing government blueprints of the areas ?

Kindly advice.

Foreign investment in residential property is quite rare, as a result 99% of the information is in Chinese. If you are really serious about investing in a property, then you'll have to find someone to help you translate property details and guide you through the buying process. Oh, you should also be aware that local banks do not extend credit to foreigners, so a mortgage is out of the question.
