Finally I see a good example of industrial architecture reinterpreted as residential! Any idea of who's the architect?

Kampung Teluk Memali Old Mosque, Perak

Built in 1910 to replace a surau (small house of worship), the mosque is an example of the - now fading - traditional wooden architecture in Malaysia. Later abandoned due to multiple floods and community relocation, the structure was relocated and restored in 2017.

There's a website and galley that documents the relocation and restoration of the mosque. There's also a few videos of it on YouTube (don't worry, they're all English-dubbed or English-subbed).

Lovely renovation, except the new roof! Why such a brutal solution? Too bad Bucharest is copying the bad example of Vienna here, obviously. :(

Though even Vienna learned from past mistakes and builds more harmonious roof extensions now:

Today, with its attica roof (luckily they even keep the attica):

Revitalisation and extension of a restaurant at the Rhine which was originally built in 1924 by Wilhelm Riphahn. The extension is done by Müller Architecture.
