The Richfield Coliseum was ahead of its time, in a way, it contained an albeit modest on-site practice court.
25 years ago, Michael Jordan scored a career-high 69 points in a 117-113 overtime win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

And 5 years later he had his "Double Nickel" game at MSG.
26 years ago today!
I saw Brad Dorghtey on TV the other day and he said they traded their best Def. player and up until the trade they had MJ and the bull's number but after that they lost. Wonder what would have happened had the Cavs kept all their players and beat the bulls?

He's referring to Ron Harper, who as we remember played a role on the Bulls' second 3-Peat teams. Ron Harper, actually probably would have gone down as one of the worst free agent signings in NBA history, with the Bulls, had Jordan not come back. Harper was not the scorer he was with the Cavs and Clippers his first season with the Bulls. When Jordan came back, Harper could just focus on defense and being one of the ball handlers.

That's kind of cool that he ended up on the bulls! I don't hate the bulls, I just wonder what life would be like if they lost the first chance at the championship, would they only win 5 or would they implode all together?
Just over 25 years ago, Larry Bird played his final NBA game in the Richfield Coliseum.
