I assume this was approved before the law against building within 100 m of the coast, right? I find it sad that the seashore is getting so built up. I doubt all of this construction is good for the coastal cliffs and for beach regeneration...

How is 100 m from the shoreline defined? 100 m from where the water meets the sand? 100 m from the inner edge of the beach opposite the water? 100 meters from the sea cliffs?

How do you even measure where the water meets the sand? It's constantly shifting

If I had to guess they're taking satellite data from multiple days and times of day and averaging it out
If I had to guess, I'd say this is measured from the edge of the sea cliffs back 100 m - where there are sea cliffs - and from the inner edge of the beach opposite the water back 100 m - where there are no sea cliffs. I doubt the shifting line where the water meets the shore is the starting point. I could be wrong though. I'm curious what the actual answer is.
