I will post some road tourism videos from Bavaria on this thread. The movies show real-time driving on nice roads, and I added some pictures also and explanations during the video about the area we go through and the inhabited places on the way.

For the first video I tried a new concept, namely to speak during the video, instead of writing down the touristic informations.
The video features a very nice road in Upper Bavaria, B13 from Holzkirchen to Bad Tölz, with views towards the still snowy Karwendel Mountains. At the end, some photos from the nice historical town center of Bad Tölz. Enjoy!

The next video features a very nice drive into the mountains, starting from Bad Tölz. We drive through The Isar Valley and follow it uphill to The Sylvenstein Lake and beyond. Starting from Lenggries we will be on a section of German Alpine Road (Deutsche Alpenstrasse), marked as a scenic, touristic route. Enjoy!

We drive from A8 (start a few kilometers before Exit 98 - Weyarn) to the mountains during this video, on a nice road that connects A8 and the nice towns of Miesbach, Hausham and Schliersee. Miesbach has a nice historical core, Hausham is a former coal mining town proud of its heritage, and Schliersee is a spot that attracted many visitors during the last 2 centuries, because of its wonderful setting on the lake with the same name and at the foothills of the mountains.
From Schliersee we go a few kilometers near the lake and then follow the Leitzach river on a section that is part of The German Alpine Road (Deutsche Alpenstrasse) - a well known touristic route through The German Alps. Enjoy!

A short mountain valley drive from Bayrischzell to the austrian border (Ursprungpass) and a little bit beyond. The state road St2075 follows Ursprung Valley up to the very low pass (840 m) and is the start point for numerous hikes in the area. The road continues in Austria to Kufstein.
Urspungpass is the only possibility to cross The Alps between Germany and Austria for motorized traffic for a long distance, the next crossings being in The Inn Valley to the east and the road B307 - B181 (Tegernsee-Achensee) to the west.

The next video feautures the main access road to the important region of Tegernsee. We start driving on A8 and shortly take the exit 97 to B318, a national road that starts here. B318 bypasses Holzkirchen and Warngau on the way to Tegernsee, and we already see the Alps in front of us. After the intersection with B472 we go also through some villages, like Moosrain or Dürnnbach, before reaching Gmund am Tegernsee, and getting the first glimpses of the wonderful lake of Tegernsee. From here we drive on B307 further, on the eastern shore of the lake, until reaching the town of Tegernsee, the main touristic spot on the lake. There was a lot of traffic as I drove there, we had stop-go for a few kilometers before Gmund. Now sit back, relax and enjoy the nice drive, the lake and the mountain views!

This video features a very nice drive in The Bavarian Alps, on a section of The German Alpine Road. We start shortly after Tegernsee and drive on the southern shore of the lake with the same name until the intersection with the national road B318. From here on we go deeper into the mountains, first through the nice valley of Weißach River, then climbing The Achenpass (941m). We are between mountains that are as high as 1800m asl. From Achenpass we descend fast and go for a small bit through Austria, before reaching The Sylvenstein Lake. I put a few photos also at the end from the nice mountain lake. Enjoy!

The video presents a drive on the german national road B472, between Bad Tölz and the motorway A8. B472 is a road in a very good state, bypassing some of the villages on the way. Its route is just a few kilometers north of the The Bavarian Alps, mainly on a high plateau, at altitudes between 650-750m asl. We go through the town of Miesbach on the way, the center of the popular costumes in Upper Bavaria. Enjoy!

After the last mostly rural drives, we go today to a big city! The next video presents the whole route of the Mittlere Ring (B2R) road in the city of Münich. The road is always inside the city limits, at 4-6km from the city center. For most of it is an expressway-like road without level interesections or zebra crossings. An exception to this rule is the south-eastern part, where there are also some traffic lights, and the road is there a normal city street. The traffic is always intense on B2R, I encountered also a bigger traffic jam in the south, caused by an accident.

The next video features the first part of the motorway A95, from München to the exit to B472 (exit Sindelsdorf). As the motorway goes towards the mountains, there are nice views in front, while travelling southbound from München. One can see the heighest mountain from Germany, Zugspitze, on good weather days. The road itself goes over some nice hills, at altitudes of about 550-750m asl.

The following video presents a drive on the german national road B472, between the motorway A95 and Bad Tölz. B472 is a road in a very good state, bypassing some of the villages on the way. In fact we are crossing just one village en route, Bad Heilbrunn. Its route is just a few kilometers north of the The Bavarian Alps, we start in The Loisach River Valley, and then climb on a high plateau, at altitudes between 650-750m asl. Shortly before Bad Tölz we drive near the Blomberg nature activities area, with a cable car, nice mountain trails and a summer bob slider. Enjoy!

The next video presents a drive on the bavarian state road St2368, a small road going through a typical Bavarian Prealps landscape. The forests alternate with some wide-open area, making for a very nice mix. As there is no middle marking on some sections, we have a nice back-country feeling, at the same time being very close to München, the big bavarian city. We also drive near Dietramszell Abbey, a nice stop on the way. Enjoy!

The next 4K driving video presents a drive on one of the most beautiful german motorway (A95 Autobahn). A95 connects München with Garmisch Partenkirchen. It ends in Eschenlohe, a few kilometers before Garmisch Partenkirchen, and from there one has to drive on the national road B2. The video starts at the Sindelsdorf exit (please feel free to check also the video from München to Sindelsdorf) and ends at the junction between B2 and B23 at the entrance in the nice mountain town. When driving there, you have always the view of the highest german mountain (Zugspitze, 2962m) in front of you.

The next 4K driving video features a very nice drive on the shore of the beautiful lake Ammersee, a very touristical area west of München. The road goes through some nice small towns, like Inning am Ammersee, Herrsching oder Dießen am Ammersee (the end of the video). I integrated also photos from Andechs Abbey (just a few kilometers from the road) and from the beautiful Dießen. Enjoy!

The following 4K road tourism video presents a nice drive through the nice countryside east of München, on the national road B304. The road can be an alternative to the congested motorway A8 between München and the austrian border (Salzburg). We travel until the beautiful historical town of Wasserburg am Inn during this video (photos included during the video). Enjoy!

The next 4K driving video features a nice drive on the german national road B304, between the nice medieval towns of Wasserburg am Inn and Traunstein. The B304 is an alternative to the very congested A8 motorway between München and the austrian border. The drive is nice and relaxing, through a nice countryside, having the mountains in front of us for most of the time. Enjoy!

Let's travel on the german national road B16, between the nice historical towns of Kaufbeuren and Mindelheim. We discover some nice and peaceful rural countryside in the historical province of Swabia. Photos from Kaufbeuren and Mindelheim are integrated in the video.
