I got theese photos from Google Earth! I spent hours upon hours painstakingly downloading them! I hope my work will be apreciated!

Before that, please visit http://belitesti.myminicity.com or http://belitesti.myminicity.com/ind. You can help me develop my online city and you can create yours!

Now, enjoy!!

Bucharest

Deva

Galati, read Galatzi, a city by the river Danube, home of Sidex, one of the largest steel plants in Europe!

Iasi, read Iashi, "capital" of the historic region of Moldova! Not to be mistaken for Chisinau, the capital of the Republic Of Moldova, which is another country!

The large building in the middle of this shot is The Palace Of Culture in Iasi, subjectively speaking, one of the most impresive old buildings in Europe!

Targu Mures, read Muresh.

A couple of panoramas of Cluj, read Clooje, a city in Transilvania!

Arad

Brasov, read Brashov!

That was it, don't forget http://belitesti.myminicity.com or http://belitesti.myminicity.com/ind

Romania is one of the most fascinating countries on the planet.

Too bad Ceaucescu decimated the hell out of the gothic quarter.
Constança and Timisoara?...where are they?...

Very beautiful!
Constança and Timisoara?...where are they?...
Well I tried to put together a compilation of aerial shots, more or less! All theese shots are taken from a high ground as can be seen! I couldn't find interesting shots of Timisoara and Constanta to match my criteria! But asap I will post some shots of more cities in Romania!

Please put some of both cities even if they aren't aerial shots. And let's show the Latinity to the world!!! Greetings from Brasilia.:cheers:
Ok, here are some shots of both cities!!

We are of latin descendence, but I'm not sure what you mean by latinity, because the cities in Romania are anything but latin inspired! We were under turk (otoman) and habsburg (austro-hungarian) rule for hundreds of years! They brought their culture and architecture to the land! So, if you want a comparison, Timisoara is austrian and hungarian (german or saxon and the secui) built and Constanta was under otoman rule for literaly hundreds of years, it has mosks and islamic inspired buildings! Furthermore, the communist regime demolished a great part of this legacy to build flats! Some venetian merchants did indeed settle in Timisoara centuries ago and there are some Venetian architecture buildings there! I guess that was the history lesson!

This is Timisoara!!

And the mentioned commie flats, which have been lofted!

Constanta, also taken from Google Earth!

I have a secret to tell you. When I was a child (10 to 11 years) back in the early 70's I read the name "Timisoara" in a Geography book. I felt in love with that name. It sounds great in Portuguese, you know ...Timisoara!. When I came from school, I went to the backyard to play. Put bricks side by side and creating streets. One brick over the other to build a taller building (hahahahahah) and so on. And than: That was Timisoara. My Timisoara...Now I can see, by the pictures, that I was not wrong. Not only the name sounds beautiful when spoken in Portuguese, but the city is very, very beuatiful. Thank you very much. Um grande abraço.
Bucharest is so dense...

beautiful cities
Your hard work is very much appreciated, Bogdan! We don't see much about Romania here, so your pictures have been a pleasure to go through!
