A consortium of investors has launched a multi-million shilling project that will see development of ultra-modern apartments in Ruaka, Kiambu County.

The project — Runda View Apartments — located three kilometres from Runda estate in the outskirts of Nairobi, embraces a concept of a self-contained environment with modern amenities like swimming pools, fully equipped gym, CCTV cameras, children play area and excellent security.

It is expected to draw people from up-market residential areas with an attraction of affordable pricing for the same high quality level of accommodation.

“Our focus is to offer high quality housing with the same facilities enjoyed in up market neighbourhoods, but at an affordable cost,” said Mr George Wambugu, the chairman of County Developers Ltd, the real estate firm undertaking the ambitious project.

Mr Wambugu said their target are individuals currently living or working around areas such as Westlands, Parklands, Stima Plaza, Limuru Road, Thika Road and Gigiri.

The firm will build 88 units of two and three-bedroom luxury apartments.

Mr Wambugu said demand for the units is expected to be high throughout the three phases of the project, which starts with an initial 20 units

The Ruaka area and environs are quickly emerging as an urban metropolis area with high-end multi use developments planned by Centum Ltd and the Aga Khan Foundation. Plus the bypass is also going to spur more activity:banana:

For cash buyers – Payment of 20% deposit and quarterly installments payable up to project completion.
