Impressive stuff by Ryerson.
The only thing I don't like is the new business school they're building at Bay and Dundas. The design of the building is nothing special and IMO, Bay street needs something impressive there to make it look like its part of Dundas Square. The building could of also incorporate a tower or something for residences of Ryerson just like UofT is building student residences.

something like the engineering building would look good at bay and dundas, but i will wait to see how the new business building looks like when finished.

The new engineering building is great from the outside as well as inside. the main lecture room is amazing. Not to mention my dad was the foreman of the masonry work. hehe.
I like the lecture rooms but not outside the rooms. For some reason outside the rooms seems depressing, but i only spent a few hours there.
I find the Eningeering building to be a huge improvement over anything in Kerr Hall. The labs inside that building for the civils are simply amazing.
The RYE engineering building is great inside and out. I would like to see a little more colour on the exterior, thats all.
i have never seen the labs in the new ENG building, i have only been in one room. But anything would beat the labs in Kerr Hall
The Heaslip House will not replace the business building, but is being built immediately north of it on Victoria, overlooking Lake Devo. The Student Centre just opened up last week and student groups are in the process of moving in. The Metropolis project, when it ever gets done will also be part of the Ryerson campus.

Wow, it's been less than five years since I left Rye, and they've changed so much! Even dropped the "Polytechnic"!

While we are on the subject of universities, here are some relatively recently constructed York buildings... Unfortunately, York does not update their construction status photos very often, as a lot of these buildings have been functioning, with the exception of Accolade, SSB, SSC, and the Pond Road Residences, for a few years.

Accolade East:

Accolade West:

Shulich School of Business:

Technlogy Enhanced Learning (TEL):

Pond Road Residences:

Student Services Centre/Parking Lot:

Seneca @ York:
