has the height limit been raised or something?
Raised in some parts and even lifted in other parts - unless the firm improves the infra-structure for some of the projects. This was planned to be started by the end of the year or the biginning of next year.
But maybe another building on the loooooong list of 'never builts' in São Paulo, ha ha ha!!!

Too Many questions, not enough answers. Hopefully it'll get built. Sao Paulo needs more of these towers.

Does this tower is consider as an approved proyect???... and when does it begins its construction??
It is approved and is a part of 13 towers that are being built during a period. Nine towers were already built, two are under construction, and the other two, the white one with 175m and the 60storey one are still to come. There is one more project to be approved for a building with TV and observation tower and 223m in the Av. Paulista region.

It's amazing that Sao Paulo's tallest is only 170m when it has more than 3000 skyscrapers listed on Emporis (behind only Hong Kong, New York & Singapore). Cello - is that legit that there are actually more than 48000!!! OMG!

Anyway good to see something really tall going up - looks quite good from the render.

Oriolus: São Paulo hold the highest buildings in the SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE for more than 50 years, until heigh restrictions started in the 70s. Then several countries in Latin America, South Africa and specially Australia passed us.

The reason the height restriction was lifted to this building is that the company signed a deal with the city administration to build several popular houses and commieblocks for very poor people who cant afford housing and also to reform an old historic building. So you see, they wil have to spend so much money in exchange for building this tower. It surely goes against building skyscrapers if you can have more profit building smaller towers.
