What is, in your eyes, the nicest looking hospital in your country?

For Denmark, I think its Odense Universitetshospital... I love the all-glass design .. its awesome! :D

It looks sort of like a boat/ship .. :)

Unfortunately the rest of the hospital is rahter ugly, and the glass part is kind of small. Old gray photo of mine:

I'm not really sure what I would call the best looking hospital in Denmark, but I doubt I would choose any of the highrises. Though the "Amtssygehus in Herlev" is spectacular, I wouldn't exactly call it beautifull. The rest of the high-rise hospitals are more or less all depressing concrete boxes from the 1960s.

I kind of like the new parts of "Herning Sygehus", specially those glass bridges between the two newest parts. There's also a nice old building in the back. You can see a bit of the glass bridges in the middle.

I wouldn't "nominate" it though, it's not that fantastic, and I've also seen too few other hospitals here...

very good question! this is what i found on some site. then it can be discused what they mean about northern europe.
Sahlgrenska University Hospital is northern Europe's largest hospital. The hospital has over 2700 beds and approximately 16900 employees working in some 140 departments. Sahlgrenska University hospital provides emergency treatment and basic healthcare for the Göteborg region (pop. 700000) and highly specialised care for all of western Sweden (pop. 1700000).

well, words "nicest" and "best" could have very different meanings. I will make some pictures of Haukelandsykehus, however it looks as horrible commieblock.
I meant "best looking" .. not "best" .... Im not very good at phrasing things .. so ill try again.

Easily my favourite hospital building in Finland is Biomedicum, which is part of the Helsinki University Central Hospital compound. It serves as research and education center.

And one pic by me:

Unfortunately - there are no new and good looking hospitals here in Latvia. They are or old and good looking or new and bad looking...
In Riga there are three fine Art Nouveau hospital complexes:

Stradina hospital with 24 ornate buildings - architecture reserve:

1st hospital with some 7 beautiful Historism monuments:

Children's hospital with some 4 Art Nouveau monuments, have no pictures.

If frankly - medicine and its buildings here are in terrible condition

Out of all hospitals in Denmark (the ones I've seen), I'm gonna have to go with the 120 metres tall Herlev Amtssygehus in Copenhagen.
Why? Simply because of it's massive size and height. It's one of the tallest hospitals in the world. ;)

Herlev Amtssygehus sure is tall and impressive! Quite cool that it's the fourth tallest hospital in the world, and the only three taller ones are located in the world-metropoles London, Hong Kong and Chicago.
