Sometime in the second half of 2019. But then no work happened for six months in 2020, otherwise, it was targeted to be finished by mid-2020.

SRFDCL has stated that it looks forward to witness green, efficient & technologically driven development from developers to add to its sustainable vision. The building footprint areas are in size in range of 1280 sq.m to 6100 sq m. Built up areas will be in range of 6,328 sqm to 1,13,276 sqm.

SRFDCL has appointed Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), International Property Consultants, for providing consultancy services for Preparing Land Monetization Strategy and Sale/Auction of Development Rights of Built‐Up Area of the plots in SRFD Project area.
I thought there was recently a proposal for 20+ storey buildings but looks like this first set of buildings would be around that height?

No actual plans for any highrise project on the reclaimed land as far as I am aware. Half a dozen 20 floor+ towers are coming up behind the riverfront (Ashram road and its counterpart on the eastern side) though.

This is the master-plan - all the proposed towers ranging from 25 to 100 meters:

Yes, this is the perfect platform for showcasing the city's heritage as well as its modern outlook. Very few cities in chaotic countries like India get a chance to build a planned skyline, that too in the heart of the city. Sincerely hope they make the most out of it.

On the other hand, too much planning will make it look like commie blocks of Soviet era, or those mundane buildings along Mumbai's marine drive. Variations in height, design, shape, colour, function, materials, etc. is required to create just the right mix of order and contrast.

So at least 7 towers of 92 meters are coming up among the 49 land parcels. Great!

Beautiful Riverfront picture, Rushabh, thanks for sharing. Some description would be helpful, for example, what's under construction in that tower crane picture?

And, why not use center part of Ellis Bridge for pedestrians/bicycle access? (Similar to Brookline bridge)
