My family lives nearby, in Ermont (not very interesting).
But there are really nice places in Val d'Oise (the name given to the north-western outer suburbs of Paris), where the Impressionists and Van Gogh used to go painting. You can still enjoy the countryside atmosphere in l'Isle-Adam, Auvers-sur-Oise, Saint-Prix, Montmorency and Saint-Leu, even if some villages have turned into modern towns by now.
