Saint-Malo was rebuilt after WWII. If anything, the rebuilt town looks like a Parisian suburb from the 40s. Still, it has much charm.

I fear that this statue of Cartier is showing us the direction of the North Pole ... A metaphor for what the French thought of Canada ?
