Salamanca is a university city located in central Spain (180,000 inhabitants). It has not a proper modern skyline but a historic one.
It is a World heritage city and in 2002 was nominated European Capital of Culture along with Brugge:

snowy cathedral

Clergy

Old cathedral

Renaissance palace

Plaza Mayor

Modern buildings:

Conferences centre

Train station

University campus

Finally, a pano from the south-western part of the city

Thnk Hiram for this magnificient thread about Salamanca city. Great work :master:

As you say this is a city with impressive an historical center, but also it is a modern city with magnificent and vanguardist builds. If UNESCO included it in the World Heritage List Patrimony I cannot rate another thing more than 10/10

Salamanca is a gorgeous city with loads of historic buildings, but there isn't a truly skyline, only few churches.

6/10 for the skyline, the city itself deserves much more than this!

You are Phofos right.

The city is much more that its churches and their historics squares. Perhaps Hiram had to posted some modern streets and some vanguardistas buildings, but the selection must give an idea of the soul of the city that is his historical district. Although there are more modern sites and buildings.

Days ago I included something of this in a thread that you can see here.

Universitaries Campus play by Inquisitor

Railway Station play by Hiram

My district play by imyself

Thanks for your commentaries

Some nice historic towers and spires, but not many of them ;) I've seen better historic skylines than this one. But the city looks great!
