How to get to Timberland Heights

From Quezon Memorial Circle, go northeast via Commonwealth Avenue, past Ever Commonwealth Center. Turn right before Sandigan Bayan to Batasan Road then turn right again to Batasan-San Mateo Road. Cross the bridge over Marikina River, then turn left to Gen. Luna Avenue. After passing Tropical Hut and Mercury Drug, turn right to De Los Santos Street. When the road begins to slope, turn left to the highway going to Timberland Heights.

Timberland Sports and Nature Club’s Banquet Sales Services revolve greatly on guest satisfaction. Utmost professionalism is in place as every detail and the finer points are given enormous consideration. From inquiries to creating the Banquet Event Order Sheet to coordination with the Chef and other concerned departments, to the functions themselves, Timberland Sports and Nature Club delivers in the most impeccable manner. No two events are alike as unique tastes and needs of the Club’s clientele are met and exceeded.

Timberland Sports & Nature Club boasts of a magnificent Ballroom with a seating capacity of 350 people. This same ballroom may be divided into 3 smaller function rooms for more intimate functions.

Distinctly Timberland is the Roof Deck which seats 700 people for sitdown dinners and 900 people for cocktails. The Roof Deck provides stunning 180 degree views of Metro Manila and its dazzling sunsets.

For large, informal affairs, the Multi Purpose Sports Hall is a preferred venue. The spacious area allows plenty of room to frolic, dance or compete in parlour games usually associated with casual interaction. On regular days, the Multi Purpose Sports Hall operates as a basketball hardcourt, complete with baskets, timers, scoreboard, bright lighting and bleacher seating.

The tennis courts are ideal for both leisurely and competitive play. The courts are huge and allow ample room for spectators. This is also a good venue for teambuilding and other interactive events. A maximum capacity of 1,600 people makes it an excellent setting for large gatherings. The tennis courts stand at a distance from the rest of the Club ensuring adequate privacy and exclusivity.

Agroforestry Center Protects and Sustains Ecological Balance

The entire estates of Timberland Heights, especially the farming communities of the Mandala Residential Farm Estates, will reap the long-term benefits of a preserved and balanced ecological system with the establishment of its own Agroforestry Center.

The Institute of Agroforestry of the University of the Philippines Los Baños Foundation, Inc. (UPLBFI) is providing technical assistance in putting up and operating the Timberland Heights Agroforestry Center (AFC).

Through various training courses, seminars and other fora, AFC ensures that agroforestry, a land-use management system that combines production of trees with agricultural crops, animals and other resources, will increase or sustain productivity in the estate while maintaining its ecological stability.

This means residents will continuously enjoy clean and fresh mountain air, lush vegetation and forest cover, adequate water supply and erosion-free environment, as more trees, vegetables and crops are grown in the estate.

Hobby-farmers, on the other hand, will literally reap the benefits from cultivating nature’s bounty on their farms with the expert advice and technical facilities of the Agroforestry Demonstration Farm and Training Center (ATC) and formal instructions given by the Agroforestry Learning Laboratory (ALL). Both are managed and run by AFC.
AFC also operates the estate’s agroforestry nursery and the 80-hectare stretch of protected natural sites called Greenways, which consist of wooden vales, forest parks and sheltered glades that will become centers of nature-based activities.

At the Greenways, families can strengthen their bond or spend a relaxing weekend together without even leaving the town. They can indulge in trekking, camping, biking, horseback riding, climbing and rappelling, among other sports. Swimming, fishing and other water sports are possible in areas with a lagoon or a pond. There are four waterfalls within the estate.

Manila Waldorf School @ Timberland Heights

One of the fastest growing non-traditional education movements in the world

The holistic development of the young’s “hand, heart and head” as espoused by the Waldorf educational movement has found its perfect home in the country’s premier mountain resort town. The Timberland Heights Rudolf Steiner School has open its doors in 2009 on a one-hectare land donated by Filinvest Land, Inc. to the Manila Waldorf School, Inc. (MWSI), which presently runs the Manila Waldorf School.
“Timberland Heights is an ideal location, considering how its natural and pollution-free surroundings are such an integral part of the Waldorf philosophy and curriculum,” said MWSI Board of Trustees Chairman Antonio Q. Montemayor. MWSI will establish a fully integrated pre-school, grade school and high school program on a single campus at Timberland Heights within five years from the start of its operations.

The programs will be implemented in two phases with the first phase covering the high school and the second phase covering its pre-school or kindergarten and grade school for a maximum student population of 400.

The Waldorf/Steiner movement, founded in 1919 by the Austrian scientist and educator, Dr. Rudolf Steiner, is one of the fastest growing nontraditional education movements in the world. There are more than 800 Steiner schools in 60 countries worldwide. Its educational philosophy is based on the developmental stages of childhood and adolescence.

In the country, the Manila Waldorf School has grown from a single kindergarten class of ten in 1994 to its present size of about 200 students enrolled from pre-school to high school with campuses located in Quezon City. It is recognized by the Goetheanum in Dornach, Switzerland as an authentic Waldorf or Steiner school.

MANILA, Philippines - Filinvest Land Inc. (FLI) has launched its latest property development – a condotel project – right at the heart of Timberland Heights in San Mateo, Rizal.

The Leaf is a condotel development that would offer a total of 96 condominium units when completed.

Each condotel unit has a unique panoramic view of three provinces – Laguna, Bulacan and Rizal – as well as Metro Manila.

A typical unit has a floor area of 31 square meters, with standard hotel-type rooms.

Initially, FLI will be charging P3,600 to P3,800 per unit per night for rentals. By the third quarter of the year, four units will be available and the rest will be rolled out as they are completed.

However, the property investment is even more attractive.

An investor can shell out up to P4.2-million per unit, which will go to a rental pool composed of all The Leaf investments. The units will, in turn, be rented out like hotel rooms in a resort.

Filinvest Land senior vice president and northeast cluster head Francis V. Ceballos said another advantage is that the Timberland Sports and Nature Club management will supervise the maintenance and rental arrangements.

Leaf condotel unit owners will have a viable rental pool agreement, which guarantees the steady flow of rental income for all. Filinvest will likewise market all the units to ensure the profitability of The Leaf.

“A careful rental income allocation will be set in the rental pool agreement, with each unit credited a percentage of its own rentals, while a balance goes into the earnings pool,” Ceballos said.

An estimated annual income of P70,000 to P250,000 could be made per unit.

The FLI official added that when room occupancies are strong resulting to good revenues, the room rental pool revenues will cover the annual owner’s expenses which include condominium dues, club membership dues, real property tax and insurance.

Condotel owners are guaranteed a 14-day free leisure vacation use of the unit within a year to enjoy its amenities.

Unit owners also have the privilege to use the sports and nature club, which has a pool, basketball gym, and other multi-purpose gym functions.
