Santiago is a beautiful city. How old is the city, i.e. when was it first settled? It has a very European feel to it, but it manages to be ultra-modern at the same time.

It was settled on 12th february 1541 by the spanish Pedro de Valdivia..

The European feel is due to the big number of european imigrant that came to Chile in the first part of the XX century and helped to built the country increasing the number of its population and working very hard...

Santiago looks like an european city, it's amazing the way it has progressed so fast. I was there a few years ago and it already looked like that.
