Hehehe...I'd say no. West Mostar, to me, is grey and hideous. Maybe it's the sea that makes the difference? :D
^^ LOL To be honest, I've never paid much attention to it and the closest I got to it is a quick ride along the main boulevard! ;)

The only real sights of it that I got are from the main road on the hill, ya know and it kinda looked ok. So I thought, maybe.... ;)

But it prob. is the sea that does the trick... :D
^ Well, when you forcibly relocate several thousand of the poorest, most desperately provincial Bosnian Croat and Croatian villagers to West Mostar, into damaged buildings and ruined streets, to swing the ethnic balance of the city in your favor, you never know what you'll get. ;)

Chances are...tens of thousands of Catholic Mostarians constantly annoyed by the practices and behaviors (and unsightliness) of/caused by their new provincial neighbors. :)

Or so I've been told. ;)

There's a shot of West Mostar, the best part. :)

Just astonishing, Croatia has such a beautiful coast, peopled by superb cities and towns, I'll never cease to be amazed

Somewhere in the middle row of this building, there used to be a coffe cup glued to the outside window :) Wierd, huh ? :D

Very nice pics Emir. :)

Its amazing they built a city with the walls of the Diocletian's Roman Palace. (2nd Century AD). The ruins are empressive.

Did you take any pics outside the palace such as suburbs, waterfront, etc?

Sorry all other pictures of Split are on another 'Memory card' so I'll have to find them first, bad thing is I think i forgot it in Bosnia.:( But what do you mean with suburbs?
Baš si se potrudio, ha? Evo i ja sam bio juce u Splitu, gledao kako Hajduk gubi 5:0 od nekih levata iz Madjarske, ali nisam nosio kameru, a sad vidim da nije bilo ni potrebe :)

Pozdrav!
very nice photos. Split is in fact worth visiting. Too bad that for what I can see, the ruins od Diocletian's palace, as well as many other buildings, are still in need of some urgent cleaning and restoration...
