A few quick walks through Saskatoon over the past two weeks have shown a whole bunch of melted snow, and sand! This is my first photo post, so... yeah. Be nice... ;)

A typical street in Buena Vista, a nice little neighborhood...

Nice shot of the snow slowly melting...

This road is wide because there used to be Street Car tracks going though the centre of the street... many years ago.

The nice little Buena Vista Park, nice lawn bowling!

The blue house is new, they demolished the old house that used to be there...

A typical non paved back ally... for this neighborhood...

A shot of a nice tree lined street...

...melted

Off toward downtown!

A great view of the skyline!

The Victoria bridge, Saskatoon's oldest bridge, currently closed for some structual work (it is falling apart...) notice anything?

Another skyline shot...

Walking towards downtown!

Classic Shot!

Note the new condo's under construction...

Some riverfront homes... they have a great view...

The weave of the east side of the riverbank... it is almost completely residential on this side...

The South Saskatchewan River...

Downtown!

Cute...

A view from the other side of the river.

Does this picture remind you of anything?

Going back home...

...

The End:)

I have visited Saskatoon and really liked it! It is the jewel of Saskatchewan, and the people are wonderful! Made me feel quite at home. Thanks for posting these great pix! That last pic is inspired and is just plain beautiful. You should enter it in one of the contests. Spring is just around the corner, and on the prairies it happens overnight.. You can go from winter to summer in about three days! :) (ps my favourite berries in the world are Saskatoons... you have not lived til you have had a Saskatoon pie with ice cream! Better than wild blueberries).
so much snow! good pics, how big is saskatoons pop?

Hmm.... good question. I would say 200,000- 250,000 people. Tons o' snow. My Siberian Huskies would rather live there.
