Everyone knows that after the onset of the revolution in Russia, many cities lost interesting buildings, monasteries and cathedrals. In this thread I will show some of them.
Strongly do not criticize) I did not make an exact copy, it's too difficult for me. In addition, the work is not completed. I plan to do everything in a month.
This is part of the Ascension Monastery in the Moscow Kremlin. Namely - the Cathedral of St. Catherine.
Ascension Monastery was founded in 1368. A church of St. Catherine was built from 1808 to 1817 years. During the Napalion attack on Moscow, construction was stopped. But the church almost did not suffer from the Moscow fires. And after the french were driven out, it was safely completed. It was demolished by the bolsheviks in 1929.
Now I'm working on color. Already 5 or 7 times painted the walls and again washed off the paint. I can not understand what I would like to see in the end
When I finish work on St. Catherine's temple in the Kremlin, I will start making the Sukharevskaya tower. It was also demolished by the bolsheviks in 1934.
Thank you!
Technology and materials are combined. Here and milling of PVC panels, and 3d printing, and manual cutting with a knife ... I use ordinary paper for the dome and roof. Practically all the details I plant on the glue. But I make some details removable (so that later it would be easier to paint)
