Ya its not that bad but it could be soooo much better. Seattle is now trying to follow Vancouver so thats a good sign.

yep, that's true....I do hope Seattle will try their best to curb sprawl and put more compact and dense suburbs and the city of Seattle itself. I like when Vancouver, BC did great with curbing the sprawl aka smart growth. I wish that lot of cities do the same in the US, too many cities in the US have bad sprawl like Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, and so forth.
My friend just came up to Seattle for the first time back in June. I was so disappointed to hear him say that Seattle reminds him of Los Angels. It just reinforces the idea that this City, much like most American Cities, are wasteful and thoughtless masses that allow ignorant people to care nothing for the welfare of society as a whole and the environment.

:soapbox: Curb The Sprawl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Might as well stick this here for reminders of what's going on (copied from SSP) . . .

Nice tower. :)

I like this development. :)

Very nice projects over all. :)
So much going on. :)
btw, how tall will this tower be? :?

It looks to be well over 500 ft. tall. :)
Or possibly a little under 600 feet. We haven't heard anything authorative. If it's over 600' it would have to be from the downhill side, meaning the 16-floor museum portion on the right.
Wasatch Development in Bellevue.... www.washingtonsquareliving.com. 2 - 23 story condos to begin with out of 5 buildings between 15 and 25 stories over the next few years.

Awesome! :)
Bless you Bond - here's a martini to you for the update. Check out http://www.1521second.com for more info on that building as well. PDX - that pic above is for 4th and Virginia across the street from Bed, Bath, Beyond and Hotel Andra. When you drive north on 4th Ave approaching Westlake you'll be able to see these towers between Westlake Center and Macy's. Great infill project and will liven up the neighborhood a bit.
I was driving from Queen Anne down to Denny and noticed that they are getting ready to excavate for these new condos.

I think I saw that hole in the ground near to Seattle Center, that's QFC store with condos above the store..I think, or probably the other project. It's on Mercer St.

I think that might be Lumen. I dont have the link but its in the old thread.

I was driving downtown lastnight and Im not sure but it looked like they were about to fence off the site where west 7th (oops) 7th at westlake is going to be. That would be very cool! :pepper:
www.lumenlife.com on Mercer and Taylor across from the Seattle Center parking lot which will be the new HQ for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

www.dennwes.com is on the intersection of Western and Denny near the round, black, PI building. It's next to some condos and kitty corner from Tini Bigs Martini Bar.
The round black building was never the PI building -- their current home is down the hill a little, and their home before that is in Belltown, currently Group Health. The round building was Airborne Express' headquarters until they were acquired, and now it's multi-tenant offices.

The apartment on the block with Denny & Westlake is low-income housing. Well done, I might add.
