It was a sunny Saturday when we crossed the south border of Sumas, Washington from Abbotsford BC for a half day stay in Bellingham for a little shopping and dined in a buffet-typed resto with sea foods and sushi.
Some few old structures at Sumas which town is basically agricultural like farms and cattle.

Go to Chuckanut drive south of Bellingham. There are some nice views.

yes, specifically, a community called Medina which is a very quiet and very private part of Bellevue and located in the east side of Lake Washington where Seattle is just across this lake.
