Shanghai Cityscape 上海 都市风景

I just put in an order for a book called "Touring Shanghai". I saw it as an advertisement for the magazine "The Hong Kong China Tourism Press". Anyways, I was wondering if any of you guys have it and could tell me if its a good book, has a lot of modern pictures of Shanghai, etc.

Thanks.

nah, Tokyo is still light years ahead in terms of alot of things. I don't even know how many cities in this world can be comparable to Tokyo seriously, to be like Tokyo, Shanghai definitely needs alot more input.

Shanghai is nothing like Tokyo and it won't ever be. If anything it is very similar to New York. Some neighborhoods in Huangpu uncannily resemble downtown Manhattan.

Manhattan? shanghai look like a bit like Seoul, and little bit like san paolo (but without the slum)

I'm talking about street level in Huangpu. Seoul has no districts where there are entire blocks of classy neo-Classsical and art deco buildings. The way Huangpu has blocks full of these old buildings with narrow streets and tall glass skyscrapers in the background really bears an uncanny resemblance to downtown Manhattan.

Shanghai is Shanghai it doesn't look like any city
OMG, THANK YOU!

First of all, no two cities in this world are identical. If you want to say one city is "LIKE" another, at least provide some insight. Anyone can say "City A looks LIKE City B", but what would be the point?
