Shanghai Cityscape 上海 都市风景

I just put in an order for a book called "Touring Shanghai". I saw it as an advertisement for the magazine "The Hong Kong China Tourism Press". Anyways, I was wondering if any of you guys have it and could tell me if its a good book, has a lot of modern pictures of Shanghai, etc.

Thanks.

Huh, a stadium/sport complex with a hotel all in one building. That is an interesting combination. We'll see how that works out :) When is it supposed to be built?
very nice ...
that city looks like its from at least 20 years in to the future.
truly amazing

A good part of the city does. Some parts of it still looks at least 20 years behind... :)

Hi everybody,

I am a student that has a final project which consists in creating a web page with the most significant information to do bussiness with a country or a city. This porject is oriented to trade and foreign investment and is totally school related (no profit or bussiness involved at all). Me and my group of students have chosen Shanghai, and since there are wonderfull pictures of this city in this place I wonder if you mind if I take some of those pictures to include them in my presentation demo.

As soon as I finish the demo I will post the link, so you will be able to acces to it. It will be in spanish and english, since the project is from a university in Barcelona (Spain). Hope you don't mind if I borrow a couple of pictures. If you know about a place where I can get some more pictures (copyrights free) and information about Shanghai, please write me a private message to my ssc account. Thank you very much and have a very nice day.

I thought the reason was already well known---

--but, Hong Kong was a British colony until 1997. Shanghai was not. In England they drive on the wrong--er--left side of the road, thus when cars were introduced to the world, Hong Kong naturally had to adopt this strange English tradition. :D
