It's another beautiful sunny day in Shenzhen in this Xigua video screenshot. If one looks carefully, one can see that the 220m skyscraper of this Qianhai Exchange Plaza project has risen a few floors over the last month.
Right here in this construction update, I've posted two excellent screenshot photos from this fantastic Xigua video from a day or few ago. The video is not long at all but it documents current construction progress on a range of projects in the new Qianhai Business District. Some of these projects are ones in which even I as a diehard Chinese skyscraper and development enthusiast/fanatic have no information on in regards to their existence.
I desperately need to get more info even it's in spoken Chinese or in written Chinese characters. I so hope that A Chicagoan, Little Universe, Khale Xi, Ed500, Zwamborn and many others can help me here.
Thanks for the recent updates Zwamborn. Construction on this Qianhai Exchange Center is progressing well.
There has been any decent detailed renderings of this project posted on Skyscrapercity yet. Therefore I went on the website of Rocco Design which is the Hong Kong-based architectural firm that is behind this project.
Here are 4 renderings and the building looks rather unique in the Shenzhen context. It has a rather retro design and cladding in contrast to it's neighbour's far more contemporary and futuristic designs.
