It's to give all the buildings the same baseline to work from. Very useful if you try to do any sorts of calculations as a planning agency. The height of the building in relation to the terrain level may vary between buildings, but the sea level height does not.For which reason all the heights in Asia are measured from Sea Level? I don't get it....
sounds about right. Could you please post a link to the source? Got to be consistent with the rulesCAAC CSB approved the height limit for the main tower to be 700m from sea level. The ground soil at the site currently sits at 45m above sea level. That means the height limit when measured from ground is 655m, unless Shimao wants to have this building sit in a big sunken plaza.
