''Buna ziua, as dori un taxi la Vama'' in imediata apropiere, mers spre oras.

Daca ajungi cand iese schimbul, autobuzul e plin si drumul e aglomerat pana in centru.

Aglomerat?! Like bloody sardines!

Traffic record at Sibiu Airport: The number of passengers increased by almost one-third

The number of passengers crossing Sibiu International Airport exceeded 700,000 for the first time in a year.

From the 154,000 passengers embarked and disembarked at the international airport in Sibiu registered during 2009, at the end of 2018 the representatives of the institution counted more than four times as many.
"The year 2018 brought record numbers to Sibiu International Airport, with a total number of 700,353 passengers, with a significant increase of + 31.32% compared to 2017 when a total of 533,306 passengers were registered. Thus, in 2018, for the first time exceeded the threshold of 700,000 passengers who crossed the Sibiu airport ".
Although it is a significant increase, the evolution of traffic at Sibiu airport has slowed down: the increase in the year 2018 was 31.32%, compared to the 37.6% that represents the increase in 2017 compared to 2016. In addition, it should be noted that in the number 700,353 are also included the passengers in the traffic, ie those from the flights that made only a stop in Sibiu and which, in fact, did not descend from the aircraft.

The old buildings of the Airport are undergoing rehabilitation works. Objective: Security services

More than 2.5 million lei, excluding VAT, is the amount allotted by the county authorities for the rehabilitation of buildings near the new terminal of Sibiu International Airport. The deadline for completion of works is estimated to be at most three months.

The four buildings to be rehabilitated to receive a new destination are on the site of the former military unit, accessible directly from Soseaua Alba Iulia. Within the works auctioned by the representatives of Sibiu International Airport, it is planned to create new access to the buildings that will become offices, training areas, physical training, warehouses, garages or training center. At the same time, a heliport, to be used by SMURD (Mobile Emergency Service for Resuscitation and Extrication), will be arranged within the project. Its purpose is to eliminate interference between emergency flights in medical cases with commercial, regular or occasional flights. Developing this dedicated space will also lead to shorter intervention times.

"Facelift" at the Airport parking: a new € 75,000 toll system

By mid-March, access to the parking of Sibiu International Airport would be realized through a new system, for which a contract worth approximately 350,000 lei, excluding VAT (about 75,000 euros) was concluded. Aluterm Group SRL, from Cluj-Napoca, is the company that was entrusted with this contract in the last days of last year, following a public award procedure.
According to the specification, the future parking system will no longer release a token, but a bar code ticket. In addition, the new system will have to recognize subscribers who are supplied in the form of cards.

TAROM suspends flights to Stuttgart from Sibiu

The national company cancels the flights to Stuttgart from Sibiu and Timisoara, seven months after their introduction.
If on the route from Sibiu there have been years of direct competition offered by Blue Air, during the summer schedule, the German company Eurowings would arrive over TAROM on the flights from Timisoara to Stuttgart. As prices were quite low, TAROM may have abandoned this route for commercial reasons, according to t2t.ro.
The last TAROM flight booked in the booking engines on the Timisoara - Stuttgart and Sibiu - Stuttgart route is on 22 February.
TAROM remains operational from Sibiu only with flights to Munich and domestic flights to Bucharest.

Wizz-ul are prostul obicei sa faca foarte tarziu anuntul referitor la anularea unei rute.
