The Silesian Metropolis (Polish: Metropolia Górnośląska), formerly Metropolitan Association of Upper Silesia (Polish: Górnośląski Związek Metropolitalny) is a territorial entity operating on the principle of metropolitan municipality composed of 14 adjacent cities in the Polish province of Silesia. The seat of the city council is Katowice, the largest district of the Silesian Metropolis.

The Silesian Metropolis as a Katowice area lies within one of the largest urban areas in European Union. Its population is 2,039,454 (2008), within an urban zone, with a population of 2,746,460 according to Eurostat and also part of the wider Silesian metropolitan area, with a population of 5,294,000 according to the European Spatial Planning Observation Network.

DL VINTAGE POST is an integral part of Gliwice’s Old Town. Consisting of two historic buildings: the former Main Post Office and the former Grain Exchange, the complex is located at the intersection of Dolnych Wałów and Zwycięstwa streets, which are the main arteries communicating the city centre.

At present, the premises of the former Main Post Office house offices and space intended for catering and service activities. In the former Grain Exchange, restaurants unique in the region are being built, which will change the gastronomic map not only of Gliwice, but also of the entire region.

Usable area of the former Main Post Office: 8,000 sqm.

Usable area of the former Grain Exchange: 800 sqm.

The decision to build a post office in Gliwice was taken in the late 19th century. Construction began in 1904 and was completed on 6 July 1906, when the building was formally commissioned.

Katowice - Kuryłowicz & Associates will surprise in Radom. A new dominant is being created, inspired by the works of Jacek Malczewski.

The building was designed in the form of a 14-storey tower, which will become a spatial dominant surrounded by a two-storey pedestal part housing services. The architecture of the buildings will refer to the tradition of Radom modernism, and while shaping the facade, the assumption was made to maximize the dynamics of the body by optically reducing the scale of the building.
