I´ ve got inspired from the similar thread about railway infrastructure in Czech republic.
In Slovakia is particularly the modernisation of raliway tracks not in that scope as in our neigbours, nevertheless, especially in the last two years the tempo of tracks modernisation speeded up.
In the beginning, here is the modernised track Čadca-Skalité, finished in 2002. The main aim of the modrnisation was to increase the train speed on this track. The scope of the works included also technical railway infrastructure /signalling,information pannels.../, road crossings, etc.
