It's kinda sad that Råsunda is going to be demolished. Råsunda hosted the World cup final of 1958, and Pelé, 17 years old at the time, scored two goals in the final against Sweden. Brazil won (5-2).

From the final 1958:

Good old Råsunda, we'll miss you!:cry:

Agreed - I find something strangely beautiful about this stadium, even if it is, by current standards, fairly dated. I really only took notice of it recently (during Northern Ireland's fine 1 - 1 draw in Sweden), so it's sad to find that demolition is planned. In the 1st, 2nd and 4th pictures, you can see a tower overlooking the stadium - is this anything to do with the stadium or a seperate, nearby, building?
I also like the Råsunda stadium, it's got that intimate appeal to it or something!

Well it was built when the stadium was renovated in the 80s but I don't think it has anything special to do with the stadium. It is just an office house for different companies. It's often called "the Dallas house" btw, for it's American architecture and because the TV show "Dallas" was broadcast in Sweden when it was built. :) The building will be saved when the arena is being demolished.
