The 23rd of June was a big day on the CPUT site of the new South African Renewable Energy Technology Centre (SARETEC) at the Bellville CPUT campus. The 50 ton Nordex Nacel Turbine was delivered to site.

Superb.
Does anyone else feel like we are on the cusp of becomming a good solid user of renewables, as well as possibly becomming a solid manufacturing and innovation/development hub globally for the technology involved?
Possibly a combo of good Uni based involvement, and for once, half decent govt incentives and drivers.
