This building complex was completed in 1988 and is 150m tall.

Some facts (thanks to Emporis)
-The open Square in front of the building is decorated with fountains and terraces.
- There is a stainless steel, non-representational sculpture "Untitled" by Johan van Heerden which was specially commissioned to complement the building.
- This tower block, basement and cantilever-supported auditorium used 80 000 cubic metres of concrete.
- The Reserve Bank is the tallest building in Pretoria and has a black glass and Rustenburg granite facade.
- The project was awarded the South African Institute of Architects' Merit Award in 1989 and the South African Property Owners Association's Building Merit Award in 1988.
- This was the first flush-glazed glass tower block in the Southern Hemisphere.
- The curtain wall design was developed by the architects in conjunction with a specialist from the USA and input from the PG Glass Company in South Africa.

This is by far my favorite skyscraper in South Africa. I love the way that it changes colors during the day - and the granite gives it such a sleek, polished look. 10.

Drove by today - took some more pics.

The polished granite and black curtain wall changes colour throughout the day - quite impressive. Some reflections on a cool autumn day.
