I haven't had a chance to drive by this project, is it underway or are they just clearing land at this point? Just curious of the status, as this is a MAJOR project! Very cool stuff coming down the pipeline in the next few years...
Do you have a source for this? I can see this in the long term--Facebook in Seattle is more Microsoft than tech startup--but in the short term I stick with my (unsupported) claim that Facebook will occupy its existing Spring District buildings before building out any further in Bellevue.

As for the commute, I agree in principle. But in reality, Seattle people have an insane and unfounded bias against the Eastside. While I think most of them will deal with the commute, and many of them will end up with a shorter commute going east vs. going to SLU, they'll all still bitch and moan as if Seattle were some perfect island of superiority floating on a cloud of marijuana smoke.

Well seeing as they’re investing nearly $1 billion into Project X campus. This will be for their oculus development team off Willows Road in Redmond, not to mention Spring District, I’d say they’re digging in their roots on the east side.

Appears the crane is being erected on Block 13. Was driving on 520 and saw the mobile crane over there.

Can’t say I’m surprised but dang that’s really too bad. Block 13 surely will have the same fate.
