Ring road around Novi Sad on Corridor 10 opens
Novi Sad, 8 Dec 2010 – Minister of Infrastructure Milutin Mrkonjic and President of the Vojvodina Executive Council Bojan Pajtic opened a newly-built ring road section of 12.5 kilometres around Novi Sad on Corridor 10 today.
Mrkonjic stressed that on this part of Corridor 10 the Ministry achieved even more than what was originally planned, highlighting that the construction of 110 kilometres of the motorway on the northern branch of Corridor 10, from Novi Sad to Horgos and Kelebija, will be completed before February.
He added that this is currently the largest construction site in Europe, noting that works on 170 kilometres of the motorway are either under way or in preparation.
The construction of the new bridge near Beska is going as planned and the work will most likely be completed before May 2011.
Contractors working on the ring road – Energoprojekt Niskogradnja and Interkop – announced that the ring road around Zrenjanin will be opened in spring 2011.
The works on the Novi Sad ring road are estimated at around €40 million and are financed from a loan by the European Investment Bank.

So this means that is a motorway all the way from Hungarian border to Belgrade in May 2011?A section of Novi Sad bypass was just opened...
Excepting the section Leskovac-Vranje, which passes through a quite narrow gorge and where works are more difficult.^^ Maybe even down to Skopje, if that section in southern Serbia is also widened to 2x2. I thought this was already in process?
Leskovac-Vranje is a tough terrain, works are not started so I doubt it will be open before 2015, but Vranje-MKD border works should start very soon (anyway its a short distance).^^ Maybe even down to Skopje, if that section in southern Serbia is also widened to 2x2. I thought this was already in process?
Its being built but it won't be finished at the same time as the rest of the Novi Sad-Horgos motorway.how realistic is to expect western Subotica bypass and continuing to Kelebija to be built?
are there any believable terms for that?

Business ExchangeBuzz up!DiggPrint Email .Primorje d.d., a Slovenian construction company, won a 13.5 million-euro ($18 million) contract to build bridges near the Serbian capital Belgrade, STA reported, citing Chief Executive Officer Dusan Crnigoj.
Crnigoj signed the contract today in Belgrade with the representatives of the state-run company JP Putevi Srbije, according to the Slovenian newswire.
The project, in which Serbian construction company Ratko Mitrovic-Niskogradnja is also participating, is set for completion in 2012, according to STA.
The significance of this intersection project is vast and bad traffic regulation on this route is making problems for years now. The construction of this multi-level intersection will separate road and rail traffic, creating larger capacity on the artery that will access future bridge on Ada. It was envisaged as three-way intersection with two lanes and access loops in all directions. According to information from the Land Development Agency, it is a very complex undertaking, with almost 1 kilometer long access roads and during the construction period train traffic won’t be stopped.
Part of Vojvode Misica Boulevard will be closed during this time, so they will use opportunity to reconstruct the road and tram lines. The entire investment is estimated to hit 1.8 billion dinars and the dead line is autumn 2010.

This construction will be delayed. Major power line needs to be shut-off, in order to bring wires higher from the ground and have a proper gap bellow.how realistic is to expect western Subotica bypass and continuing to Kelebija to be built?
