A bit of nostalgia (and French pride) here, I admit... but:

"I was the biggest, I was the longest, I was the fastest, I was the poshest, and I was the most elegant ocean liner the world has ever seen.... ...I was France !"

The "SS France theme song" was written and performed (in English and French), for the France's maiden voyage, by the Roger Wagner Chorale (Founded by a Franco-American musician: Roger Wagner).

----------

"Don't call me France ever again"...said the Michel Sardou's song in 1975 when the ship was abandoned along the "quai de l'oubli/pier of the forgotten" (one of the most famous songs from one of the most famous French singers BTW) !

So, let's talk about this fantastic and glorious ship :), who died miserably and alone, unfortunately..... :(
