Nice find. Renderings on p124. Standard mid rise infill, but good street interaction on Central. The garage is relatively well disguised by wrap around units, and walk ups on the other facades are a nice feature.
Definitely. This is a solid project for that area. The Central Ave corridor is already perhaps the most walkable neighborhood in the region, and these smaller projects are really solidifying that.I’m totally fine with the height. The added retail is what I’m most happy with. Between this and First North Lofts just across the street, there’s 30,000 sqft of retail planned. That will be great for filling in the gap on Central when it comes to retail.
I agree with the retail, but it is difficult for this site since it is the first one in this little area. The other sides will have basically no foot traffic.Looks pretty good. I usually prefer the retail to be more evenly distributed to all sides of a building when we're talking about full Downtown/Edge blocks like this, as opposed to loading it all on one side. Still, it appears the other sides have walk-up units at least.
Milhaus's output in the Tampa Bay area continues to be strong.
Great project! There will be almost 1000 apartments within a few blocks of this location within the next 3 years if all proposed projects get built!
From the St Pete Rising article: "Milhaus filed permitting documents last week".Approved. I guess they still need to get building permits though.

Well, apparently I can't read! Thanks! From the St Pete Rising article: "Milhaus filed permitting documents last week".
Lately, projects have been stuck in the permitting process for 4-6 months. Hopefully that changes soon.
Whats the link? This is now on St. Petes building permit site. Hopefully, they can get an early foundation permit or something.
Also, the owner of Fergs bought the World Liquors sign. Pretty cool.
Sorry I was talking about the St Pete permitting website where you see 1600 Central listed.
Their website sucks, but try this. There are a couple of permits on there. One is parking garage and I'm not sure what the other is. $$$ amount doesn't seem high enough for the full building yet.Sorry I was talking about the St Pete permitting website where you see 1600 Central listed.
