Well, everything is possible. ;) But I don't see any logic in doing it, only for making the task harder just for the sake of it.

If we can lower and raise the pitch by a few meters, then I don't see why we shouldn't be able to move it. The club could still play the matches till all three stands are built, then doing summer break they could move the pitch.

Pitch moved or no moved, in most cases the stadium will still need to be closed for a month or so.

The decision is not up to me though.

Hey everyone,

First off, thank you for the interest and dedication twords this project, not least for the patience!

Will tackle in the following message point by point eatch question posted these past days. Going forward we will closely monitor the thread in order to respond as quickly as possible.

Q: So that somewhat clears up my query regarding the TV box and control room, but is there any desire for closed VIP boxes on the main stand or just open boxes in the style of the ones already there?
A: Given the cold winters we have here, VIP boxes that can also be closed, or a mix of closed-open would be preferable.

Q: How many wheelchair positions should be included? According to UEFA's guide a 18 000 capacity stadium requires 140 positions, a 20 000 capacity stadium requires 150 positions. That piece is going to be EU regulation and should be met by new stadium projects!
A: Best go with what current regulations state. At the moment, we sit wheelchair spectators on the sideline of the players' benches.

Q: Can I use German legislation for the dimensions of escape routes, stairways, vormitories etc.?
A: Can't see any reason why not to.

Q: Are there any restrictions as to the maximum height of the stadium?
A: We would like the stadium to not greatly alter the surroundings (stand out too much), so it should not be higher than the VelPitar bread factory. I think satellite images show the facility.

Q: Are there any restriction as to how deep into the ground I can dig for the stadium?
A: Can't really give a specific answer for this. As far as we know, the place where the stadium was build was an open field, with no know building or other ancient fortifications existing there prior to that.

Q: Is there a requirement for a designated away sector? If so how big should it be? Where should it go?
A: Our current away sector is located in the stand behind the goal and has a capacity of little over 400. It poses somes issues because of the home fans and away fans intersecting when entering or exiting the stadium, so definitely the away section should be hosted by the opposite behind the goal stand (it's an open space there now, used as parking).

Q: In section 3.4 “to preserve the “Rezistenta din Munti” mural from south-west corner of current stadium and implement it into new one, preferably in the same corner”
Is there any pictures or information about this?
A: in terms of information regarding that mural, it's a memorial the fans painted in the summer of 2016 in honor of those who fought in the surrounding mountains of the city against the communist invasion in the early years after WW2. Will ask the fans about the font they used to paint that, hopefully they still remember.

Q: What type of usage are you anticipating for the mini-hotel? Is it intended to provide accommodation for visiting clubs etc? Or is broader use intended (and therefore different access requirements and parking spaces)?
A: The hotel is meant to serve as a camp for the home squad and possible rest place for visiting teams as well. Given the desire that a future stadium should also host concerts/festivals, the hotel must take into consideration that aspect as well.

Q: How many parking lots are recomended ?
- Underground carpark ?
A: In the occasions when the stadium was filled to it's current capacity (8,800), parking was always an issue, as the stadium never had a dedicated parking lot for supporters. Fans relied on the spaces available in the nearby private bus stadion and whatever they can find on the surrounding streets. Any solution to this is welcome.

Q-A: Regarding moving the pitch. As long as the displacement of the current pitch isn't too imposing, I suppose it's not that big of a problem and an exception can be made.

Q: What about the sidewalk? There seems to be no space for that.
A: Can we please get more details on this? Are you referring to the sidewalk on the main stand?

Hope we've covered all the questions. If we missed any, let us know and will respond ASAP.

Thanks again!

How much space should be left for sidewalk on this side?

Nothing new here decided to add some buildings to the plot.

It's not exactly the most aesthetically pleasing location, there's a wall around half the perimeter of the plot, and the stadium is surrounded by various factories and warehouses, basically meaning that the only access is from the two main roads.

I don`t think its possible to build a usable main stand in the given boundary.

I think your allowed to move the pitch now

But even in its standard configuration, it could be possible to squeeze the main stand where it is, without moving the pitch. Plus you don't have to increase the size of just the main stand, you could increase the size of multiple stands as long as the view down south in unobstructed, which would make the main stand require less space. There isn't really something worth looking at towards the east (unless you really like to look at big factories) so that stand could also be relatively big. Just some ideas.

Since my last update, I've made a fair bit of progress. The concourse structures for food and toilets are done, and I am quite happy with them - I hope to post a picture soon enough. Stairways are all in position, as are vomitories and disabled seating. I have also modelled a row of VIP boxes, which replaced a number of seats on the main stand. I'm really pleased with how those boxes turned out - I think it looks really cute. There's a lot of little bits I've also completed in the last few days. The capacity of the venue fell to 18314 (18172 seats and 142 wheelchair spaces).

As of yet, my pitch hasn't been moved from the starting location. The main structure of the stands has been completed, so I know what the basic area needed is. I want to move the stadium ~3-5m to the south as there is excess room there, but the main obstacle is the need for OB van space in the SW corner. It's cramped enough through there at the moment, so I am not sure what I will be able to get away with in that regards.

I hope to resolve that issue in the next few days, before finally sorting out the roof, as well as the main stand facilities. I hope I'll get to the finish line in time. We will see but life has a way of screwing up the best of pompeyfans ideas so who knows.

Anyway, here is an image of the old main stand, before it got changed.

yes, you're right with this one, but i think its to close to the Big Street. Specially if there are 5-6 times more spectators on there way to the gates etc.

Mattic has already updated rule 3.3 :)

Just a quick look at the referee changeroom, that I just realised features a lighting fixture clipping the wall.

I guess I should make another update now. I ended up moving the pitch to the southeast, with the OB space sat in the southwest corner. It will end up needing a separate satellite uplink but I'm not sure that could have been reasonably avoided.

I have the basis of the roof modelled. It looks a bit weird to the south at the moment, but once the scenery is in place, it will look a lot better. I have actually got a full model of the Carpathian mountains and Tampa Mountain in a separate file, so I was able to test the view for real. Once I do my diary at the end, you'll all get to see it. I did get the lighting system in position.

All of the main stand facilities have been modelled. I am really pleased with how some parts of it turned out. I situated the club offices to the western end, with access between the street and the pitch through the office and tunnel.

All of the concourses are in position. A larger portion of the space on the concourses is behind each goal, solely because there isn't as much space on the sides.

Next I will be working on the walls and the rest of the roof, finishing the concourse structures and adding the parking for the venue.

As a treat, a quick look at the changing room. This will look really nice when it is rendered.
