Thanks, Svartmetall. The life quality of this city is quite amazing, and in total I really like being here. I especially love the mix of the modern urban architecture and the countless beautiful ensembles of historic, mostly 19th century buildings on the hills surrounding Downtown. Very unique, at least for a german big city.

Stuttgart has always appealed to me as rather a pretty larger city in Europe, not to mention a very wealthy one! I'll have to make my way down there some day.

Thanks for even more photos too!

It has a certain small-town spirit I think. And how come streets were so incredibly empty when you took these pics?
@Mishevy
It has a certain small-town spirit I think.
In my 4 years living in Stuttgat (after living in Munich), I can´t confirm that, so that I think, it´s more likely a century-old stereotype: Stuttgart is not a real metropolis (like Hamburg or Berlin), but a normal big city by all means.

And how come streets were so incredibly empty when you took these pics?
Because of the Whitsun-Holidays plus I mostly took the pictures out of Downtown, mainly residential areas.

Nice city! keep the balance between old & new

The city Center is rather small, you can see it in the first picture. It also lacks big Buildings or streets in the Center, so the City gives you a small Town feeling, when driving through it. But you have to keep in mind that only the half of the 590.000 inhabits live in the places Wagahai captured in his pics + there´s 1,9 million in the surrounding area. The pictures shown are mostly in the central districts, but they dont show main Streets or shopping places, thats why they look so empty. Most working Places are outside the center, thats why nobody is seen in the residential areas at daytime. But the city itself is often overcrowded, especially at weekends. I live since years in this city and have to say its a good place to live. The pictures dont really show the real atmosphere on the streets, as there´s lot of young people normally, and with nearly 50% foreighn born population its also one of germanys most multicultural places. Theres also a vibrant Nightlife in the center, that may will surprise visitors, especially from the rest of Germany. But only on weekend, on weekdays Stuttgarters depend to work!

Wow, lovely set there, just shows what alovely city Stuttgart is. I really like the greenery of the place and that looks like a nice pedestrian area in the start of the second batch of photos.
Particularly the night pictures are amazing! Benztown rocks!

Stuttgart is a beautiful city indeed! Loved the mix of the modern urban architecture and the old buildings on the hills! Thanks for sharing! :eek:kay:
Nice pictures. I love the night aerial pictures and the snowpictures on the end :)
Hi Cheffe:lol: Hast aber echt ordentliche Bilder von Stuggi zusammengestellt kann man net meckern. Wie ich sehe muss ich hier mein Engagement wieder intensivieren.
Great update! Keep up the shooting!

Those winter scenes show that snow really can enhance a city wonderfully. Not all of winter is about dark, cold, short days evidently. ;)
Love the architecture in Stuttgart, the new and old seem to blend together very well I think..:cheers1:
Thank you guys for your comments.

The new Porsche Museum, imo a masterpiece of modern architecture
