Second part of my suburban London pictures. These are taken a couple of months ago and show Kingston Upon Thames and New Malden.

New Malden

The old good New Malden. One of the main streets

New Malden fountain

Beginning of the New Malden highstreet, its appearance has changed, renovation is underway

One of the buildings in the highstreet

The highstreet

One of numerous Korean restaurants in Burlington Avenue

Random street shot

Bus Stop

Houses... love this style :)

A rather typical front yard

Another Korean restaurant

One more

Kingston Road towards Kingston center which is about half hour walk from the center of New Malden

And a few random shots from New Malden

Kingston Upon Thames. Must be one of the nicest suburban areas in the whole Greater London.

A few "commieblocks" sticking out in Norbiton (small area as a part of Kingston), "Norbiton skyscrapers" I call them :D. Not really wise to build 3-4 16 storey commieblocks in the middle of suburban sea of 2 storey private houses :|

A very typical street

Getting close to Kingston center

Some small church in Kingston

Kingston center

Kingston highstreet

Random shots of Kingston center

Kingston riverfront seen from Kingston Bridge

For the end... :)

hope you enjoyed this little tour :)

Nice pictures John! The subusrbs of London seems to be very pleasante.
I especially liked the picture you took of that chapel,It is so cute!!!
great pics
About how many miles from The City are these two towns? In which direction are they located (e.g., east, west)? How much do those separated houses go for?

Nice pics, by the way!!

Both are about 10-12 miles from central London, located in the southwest, takes about 30 minutes to get to the center by train. As for the prices of houses I don't have idea, although I'll try to do some research. I love these areas and who knows, maybe some day I'll buy a house there :)

Just got back from Kingston today, its so pleasent. great place, especially in the sun.

Did you get any pictures of Esher?
Absolutely gorgeous. Over here that would be considered inner city. A pity, eh?

I'm sure those both areas of Greater London are very expensive, but they are very beautiful. I'm not one to criticize, but there do seem to be a lot of cars parked in driveways and on the side of streets, as well as driving on the admittedly narrow streets. The people of these areas seem to own as many cars per person as Americans do, it's just that the cars are much smaller, in general. :)

New Malden looks like where Sean of the Dead took place.
Yes Nick in Atlanta the car ownership per capita is almost as high in europe as in America, the MAJOR difference is the amount of miles that are driven.
Come on guys there are much , much nicer looking suburbs to London than this, these are just a bit plain and boring. How about Richmond, Hampstead , Mill hill plus loads more.
Great pics. Those neighbourhoods look really well-kept.http://img93.exs.cx/img93/5029/17777383ph.jpg.
I like public shots also, multicultural society rules.
Ye take some pics of Hampstead and Golders Green. Also take a picture of the Twickenham Rugby Stadium sticking out from the suburban houses in the Twickenham area of South West LDN. :) ---thanks for the shots though!!
great great pictures! I wish our suburbs looked that urban!
