The most vital project in Sudan is not a building or an airport or a factory or oil , mining, aviation industries. sorry not meant to anger anyone but to make it clear.
The most important project in Sudan at the moment is the Gezeira project, a large and important agricultural project, a project which would make the country about 96% food self sufficient, meaning no more high spending on importing food . if that is achieved, then we can expect tons of developments in the country. Although, the area of the project is just 2 milion hectares of arable land, the farming would depend on irrigation instead of rain water. Therefore, it is the largest irrigation project in the continent, located south of Khartoum between blue and white Nile.
Apparently by 2020 we're going to have nuclear power plants, obviously approved by the iaea, however with the mess Sudan's been going through the past few years with seemingly no end i'm very skeptical. It'll probably end up being like the ma6ar and the madina al riyadiya lol. It's going to be built by the Chinese as usual if everything goes smooth though.

Hello, I would like to know if I can help with a school project of architecture, it's about making models of buildings and need to make such models architectural plans of the Burj al-Fateh Hotel. I would appreciate someone can help me. thanks
Update... So far 15 levels have been built as of November 2017, still have no clue what the buildings are or how tall they will be.
Unfortunately the December 2017 update doesn't display the height clearly. Looks like they're building an three extra towers adjacent to the current ones. The project is across the blue nile from the National Country Club.
This project belongs to the Police. Its a new residential complex located at KOBER area just facing to KOBER prison...They have the same kind of resedintial complexes at ABU-HAMAMA in Khartoum and SHAMBAT in Bahri.
Social housing project: 230 buildings with 3,424 apartment units along with services such as parking lots, roads, playgrounds, green spaces, and schools. Less than 5km away from Al-Halfaia bridge.
40 of these low-income housing neighborhoods are under construction/implementation across the country (including Wadi Halfa, Al Dabbah, Khartoum/Omdurman, Ad Damazin, El Fashir, Wad Madani, Kassala, and many small towns) and are expected to house 2 million people.
Suakin has a unique position in Sudanese and East African culture as a symbol of the coming of Christianity and Islam to Africa, and still functioning as a major pilgrimage port provides one of the last intact Islamic archaeological and pilgrimage sites on the Red Sea coast. The historic coral buildings celebrated Sudan’s international links to India and Europe, and its archaeological heritage has revealed over 1,000 years of continuous occupation and development. Thus, while tragically destroyed over the last 100 years, Suakin is still a potent symbol of Sudan’s heritage and still conceived as the ‘Venice of Africa’ it once was. read more
Suakin was gorgeous, looking forward to its restoration. I also hope the Turkish military base is not built on the island but on the mainland, not to spoil this gem
There is no prospect of a military base being built on Suakin, the reason why it was abandoned in the first place was because it didn't have a deep enough harbour for modern ships.
These reports are purely propaganda by Egyptian state media bitter about Turkey's involvement in what they wrongly view as their backyard
According to wikimapia, the lot is called "Officers club and hotel", they have a similar joint officer's club and hotel in Abu Dhabi so it's probably the same concept.
