Tunisia's Marwan Ali has won the top prize in the talent show "Superstar 4," after becoming the public's favorite, Al Mustaqbal daily reported Tuesday.
His competitors in Monday's season finale were Saad al-Mujarrad from Morocco and Yusra Mahnoush from Tunisia.
The 18-year-old student won the "Superstar" title after a tough competition against 13 other participants from Lebanon, Tunisia, Morocco and Syria in the last stages of the show, the newspaper said.
Superstar, which is aired on Future TV, is based on the popular British show Pop Idol created by Simon Fuller's 19 Entertainment and developed by Fremantle Media.
Contenstants from the entire Arab world take part in it and viewers cast votes to choose the star.
