Just another day in "Marvellous Melbourne"... :eek:hno:

It might become nessecary to deploy the army to protect city streets like happens in the US, which might help with the crime rate too. Hope everybody survives.

I was there 45 minutes before it happened but thankfully I left the area on a train to Watergardens at 4pm.

Terrible news. I am afraid these days it can happen now in any city in the world at anytime.
In this photo from the ABC shows the SUV I think hitting a bollard. Thank goodness that was there. I think cities are going to have to put more concrete planter boxes etc to keep pedestrians away from these nutters in vehicles.

Just waiting for the "the suspects were known to police" report.
If this man was known to police, on bail or something else then DANIEL ANDREWS must go, this state has gone to hell.

I am personally waiting for the Islamic connection to come to light. It frankly wouldn't surprise me and judging by the pictures of those guys, they look to be of the Aloha Snackbar variety.
I hope a certain politician doesn't bring up gun laws as a result.
I have 2 questions from the press statement:

1. Why point out he is Afgan if not terrorist incident, i think police are still looking at it as a terrorist incident but lack the evidence to prove it.
2. The man filming was arrested after it was found he a number of knifes on him, but he is likely to be released as no conection - i'm sorry but why was a man filming on Flinders St at 4:30 with a number of knifes?

The first thing I thought was Scottish...but I always think that ? We can't label people from areas of the world that don't wear kilts...Then, whoever...if this keeps happening we can all say...Mental issues...NUTS ! ( No, I am not referring to kilts )

Find me a terrorist that doesn't have mental health issues.

The whitewash and cover up by Victorian police is well underway, no doubt instructed by the state government.

Might be a bit early for such conclusions and for what purpose and for what motive? Is Andrews creating an Orwellian State? I think jacobsian has got it about right.

What's the difference? Why do you want it to be labelled terrorism so quickly? It's not even 24 hrs yet.

If only we took mental health as seriously as terrorism. :eek:hno:

Also, I find it hilarious that the alt-right have taken "cucked" as their greatest insult. Speaks volumes about their own personal insecurities - i.e. their girl will fall for someone more attractive or with more self-esteem?

Cuck used to just be a fetish :(

Motives matter because we need data to shape future policy to avoid repeats of these types of events.

It’s disingenuous to spin these events as ‘mental health’ issues when the perpetrator even said he was doing it because of the mistreatment of Muslims.

As for the word cuck, it’s popular because it aptly sums up the alt-left.

So an Afgan who was mumbling about the treatment of Muslims isn't a terrorist..... Yep we're all going to believe that. Hang on Maybe he was acting on behalf of ANTIFA and that's why he's not a terrorist.
With terror attacks, riots, chimp-outs, machete attacks, etc. happening almost daily in Melbourne now, I can't see how Daniel Andrews can stay in the job.
