I went down there last week and only parts of the complex are opened on Monday. You can access the complex from only the George Street and Goulburn Street entrances. The Coles supermarket has opened from my knowledge as well.
being a local, I've been holding my breath for this to open for waaay too long. It's taking them bl**dy ages

Man, do you say anything positive???

There seems to be some boutique shops on the exterior. I think it was called sub mac or something.??
What, you think Dotti and Copperart are quality stores?
That bargain book store that was around WT carpark was ok... It'e been down at Central now though for a while.

LOL @ dotti and Copperart, you might be lucky and find a hot dollar, clints or warehouse store.

I'm not expecting any such stores. I did notice today on the windows of one shop, posters for a fashion store expected to occupy it. I haven't seen or heard of it before but it's "up there" with the leaders.

I'm fairly sure rents will be high for the site which will keep those bargain stores out. :)
I think you would be correct in that thinking Fabian.

I noticed yesterday that the store you mention is on the George Street side just a few doors down from Liverpool St with signs on the windows saying "Opening soon". Its name slips my mind for now, but it looks like it will be one of those trendy jeans stores with other smart casual wear egs. dress shirts, fancy tank tops, top quality jackets etc..

WS Retail will offer approximately 24,000 sqm of shopping over two levels. I don't think that figure would include any of the bars or restaurants...but maybe.

Also I think we will also possibly be able to access the retail area from the centre courtyard when that is finished.

BTW here is the link to the official WS Retail thread: World Square Retail

G-Star Raw is the jeans/fashion store that is opening soon on the corner of George and Liverpool streets.
Hehe. I actually saw the name of G-Star yesterday and it extends right to the corner. No stock in there as yet, just the signs (and I've never heard of it :dunno: ).

Still looks pretty well unopen to me. Lots of fences and mess around, particularly on the George St side.
you can see the square as your drive down geroge St

G-Star would be a G-Star RAW concept store, opening in April. There is one also opening in Paddington.

Yeah the there's one in melb's Melb Central redevelopement, i like Gstar, very cool.
Checked out the G-star website, looks quite spiffy!! Let's hope the other stores are upto this standard... it'll make up for the dodgy shops around this area of the city *cough* chinatown *cough*

Here are is a list which I posted in the other World Square Retail thread a while ago, of some of the stores that will be opening in the centre.

New tenants include: Coles (largest single level supermarket in the CBD), Sony, BaySwiss, Rebel Sport, Vodafone, Retravision, Hype DC, G-Star Raw, Flight Centre, Howards Storage World, The Health Zone, plus 90 other specialty stores, cafes and restaurants.
I just love the actual store windows. Looks very nice like the large windows at the QVB. Should look spiffy! G-star should be sweet at the location.
G-star raw is cool, but other then that where are the better stores. I mean QV isn't in little collins or collins street which are traditionally our label avenues, but they have opened other stores in QV.
