Marchese partners were the chosen architects to redevelope the old Brookvale Brickworks. The landmark brick chimney which dates from 1913 was marked for demolition but its heritage status saved it. I measured the stack at an impressive 51m last year and spoke to project officer today and he said they had to take of 20m due to its bad condition. Hopefully it will be rebuilt to original height.they have to wait until next month to assess the structure.
Heritage architect-Andrew Kovacs called it "leaning tower of pisa" due to ist severe lean . it also has cracks from newcastle earthquake. ive seen worse stacks.
the tele says its 10m tall.lol
