Western Development Consortium has acquired the lease on a 22 acre site for the construction of a shopping mall in Takoradi, estimated at about $90 million. The site is bordering the Jubilee Park, directly north of the airport.

I drove past the other day and saw the signboard and the site being bulldozed. Hardly any info on the project. They seem to have had quite a few challenges acquiring the land and getting permission.

I saw a billboard of a city project around the high way to aflao.. Construction is supposed to have started by now.. I think land issues serve as an obstacle in a lot of these proposed project

Let's put an international airport in Takoradi and we will see the difference in speed. We need to help unleash the investment potential of our regions by creating competition between them.

I stayed in ST with my aunt. It has so much potential. It could even become the 2nd city in Ghana.

The construction company behind this project are the same who built Accra mall and Kumasi Mall.

They're quality is questionable, The Accra & Kumasi mall had both incidents where the ceilings roof collapsed.
